A Crop of Designers Take Over Chicago’s Grand Avenue

Chicago design enthusiasts mark this one down
in your calendar: September 28-29. Then make sure to head down to West Town on this
final weekend in September for a home furnishing festival like no other: The
fourth annual Design Harvest.

A small pop-up village of white tents will line Grand
Avenue, showcasing furnishing exhibits created, curated and styled by 50 juried
designers—each hand-picked for their skill and fresh contribution to Chicago’s
home design industry.

 A diverse
crop of artisans, collectors and experts will show off their products and services,
while festival-goers are serenaded with live music programmed by The Hideout. In
between ogling vintage armoires and sleek sling-back chairs, you can usher in fall with style by enjoying some seasonal beers and taking a
hayride around the festival grounds.

More than 30 local furniture/home accessory makers and vintage/antique collectors will set up camp on Grand Avenue. Here’s a peek at the designs from past years. Get a full list of this year’s vendors from Design Harvest.
