Chicago: Mies van der Rohe in Krefeld

Architect Mies van der Rohe built a series of works commissioned by clients in Krefeld, Germany during the period of 1927 through 1930. One of his famous Krefeld works, Haus Lang, was commissioned by businessman and art collector, Hermann Lange.

Join art historian, Christine Lange, the great-granddaughter of Hermann Lange, as she speaks about the ten projects Mies built for the “Krefeld Circle,” amongst them Haus Lange and Haus Esters and the visionary Café Samt und Seide (Velvet and Silk Café).
