Get your ears and eyes ready for two interesting events happening in the Twin Cities next weekend (Feb. 6-8). Chris Strouth and his band Paris1919 (a mainstay on the experimental music scene) will take over Public Functionary’s gallery for what is billed as a “visual, sensory and sonic phantasmagoria.” Basically we’re talking about live music (water drumming, cello, dulcimer and more), avant-garde choreography, video projections and a one-of-a-kind glacier installation. Then catch “These Birds Walk” during its three-day run at Intermedia Arts. Check out the powerful trailer below for the film that depicts the struggles wayward street children in Pakistan face, and the Good Samaritans who look out for them.
