Race and Equality Intersect with Modernism at Two St. Louis Landmarks

The Jefferson Bank and Trust Company building represents two things: the work of one of St. Louis’ most important modernist commercial designers, and the site of one of the city’s most significant civil rights demonstrations. Earlier this year the Cultural Resources Office kicked off the citywide St. Louis Modern architectural survey with a picture of the building.
