It’s back for 2016!
Modern Market debuted in 2015 with a wildly successful, sold-out event that highlighted 15 Minneapolis makers. Now, we’re returning – bigger and better – for another market in December! The carefully curated, second-annual Modern Market will feature the best in local makers, art, food and libations – all of which embody the Midwest’s distinct take on modern living.
Modern Market offers guests a rare opportunity to shop unique, handcrafted goods from local artisans who don’t operate brick-and-mortar storefronts. Spanning four floors of event space, the exclusive mix of local makers offers a chance to find perfect, distinctive gifts for everyone on your list this holiday season.

Since our inception, Modern Midwest has set out to create a community for people who know that great art, design and cuisine don’t just exist on the coasts. We take great pride in celebrating the Midwest’s maker community – believing there is a wealth of creative, innovative and entrepreneurial men and women living right here in “fly-over country.”
Traditionally, we have celebrated our community online, but Modern Market brings our mission to life, spanning multiple levels inside marketing agency Fast Horse’s remodeled building, designed by renowned Modern architect David Salmela.
